RejuveSkin:

The RejuveSkin Treatment involves surgically removing the causes of cellulite. The fibrous septae or connective tissue are very short and cause the skin to dimple. These septae are cut out from beneath the skin in order to remove the cellulite and allow the skin tissue to take on a more normal contour.

This surgery is performed by placing incisions near the cellulite sites. The patients will be asked to stand up straight and contract their leg and buttock muscles. The pronounced irregularities are marked for removal. The patient will be placed under sedation and then incisions will be made on both sides of the body. Most surgeries only require two incisions on each side. Once the incisions are made, the problematic septae are severed using a tool called a dermasecter. Once the septae are severed, the incisions will be closed.

The RejuveSkin Treatment is believed to be the first permanent cure for cellulite. Initial patients underwent this procedure in 2001 and have yet to discover any recurring cellulite.
